COURSE ADVICE FROM YAS IN SCHOOLS

We suggest you read over our advice below regarding the course to help improve your experience

  1. User Interface - The Fusion 360 user interface (UI) has had some minor upgrades since this course was created. The following download will help you with these changes - Fusion 360 UI Updates.pdf
  2. Autodesk CFD Ultimate - The course includes use of CFD / Virtual Analysis software called CFD Ultimate. THIS IS OPTIONAL. Note the CFD Ultimate software is only Windows OS compatible. Fusion 360 is MAC and WIN OS compatible. If you decide to complete the CFD module, you will be guided to download an education licence copy of the software.
  3. Lesson 4 Optional - Lesson 4 is great for better understanding how CNC machining operations are programmed in CAD. Yas in Schools will CNC machine your Test Driver Challenge car design for you and Yas in Schools will also do the CNC & CAM programming for your design.
  4. Lesson 5 - Skills and techniques shown in this lesson will be very useful for when you are ready to showcase your Test Driver Challenge car design
  5. Technical Drawings - The course shows how to create technical drawings of your design in first angle projection. F1 in Schools requires technical drawings to be presented in 3rd angle projection. Here you can download a simple guide for changing to 3rd angle projection - Fusion - 1st to 3rd Angle Drawing.pdf
