The Formula Ethara Race Day at Yas Marina circuit is an end of work unit celebration. Students get to race their cars on our computerised race track testing their reaction times and car speeds to see which team are racing champions for your school group. To add to the excitement we offer schools Yas Marina Circuit guided venue tours that the children can experience on the same day as their racing.

Racing

All team members get a chance to race a team car. All race times and student reaction times are recorded to determine the winners. The race time data is given to teachers in an excel file which can be used back at school for follow-up activities related to math and science such as speed, averages etc…Certificates are presented at the end of the race day activity.

Tour

The Yas Marina Circuit guided tour includes behind the scenes visits to our racing school and race car collection, Formula One Race control centre, the Formula One podium and other points of interest. We ask that schools have their buses remain onsite with the drivers as these are used to shuttle children to the various tour venues within our facility. Depending on other events and circuit availability we also try to include a photo opportunity on the main straight of the Formula One circuit and even a sightseeing lap of the race circuit by the school buses.

Trip

Timing We tailor the day timings to suit schools. Timings depend on group sizes. Arrival and departure times are flexible. For groups of 30 - 80 students the visit would generally take a maximum of 3 hours including a lunch / snack break. For larger groups up to 120 pax the duration would be around 4 hours. Children should bring their own packed lunch and refreshments.
