FORMULA ETHARA - GET ON THE START GRID
-
‘Ethara’ is Arabic for ‘excite’. Formula Ethara is the ‘Classroom Racing’ Team Challenge for Primary School aged student’s year grades 4-6. The program is typically delivered co-curricular as a themed unit which encompasses a range of 21st Century and STEAM learning outcomes. Some schools opt to deliver it as an extra-curricular activity. We are very proud of the program’s success with over 40,000 children from UAE Private and Government Schools having participated since the programs launch in 2014.

CAR KITS/ CONSUMABLES

To build race ready cars you need to get the Formula Ethara Car kit parts. Usually one kit per student, so each child can take an outcome home, and extra kit per team to build a team race car. Yas Marina Circuit supplies all of the consumables and other resources required, refer to our resources page for more information. Car kits can be ordered in multiples of 10 or 25 sets.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
-
Children form their own mini motorsport team, develop a team brand and then apply this to various project elements they produce including a scale model race car, built form paper card. Each child builds their own team car. As a team, children also work on other elements such as a team poster and verbal presentation. Schools identify their best teams through school competition and assessment and the best school teams can then enter the annual Formula Ethara National Final.
