WHAT IS A DIGITAL PORTFOLIO?

A digital portfolio is your chance to show off the amazing work you have done. It can be a maximum of 8 slides of content usually created in Microsoft PowerPoint however it can be made in other similar software such as Canva. The content of the digital portfolio is determined by the scorecard which can be found in the competition regulations and includes car graphic development, sustainability and related STEM learning.
During the competition, you should bring a tablet or laptop to display your digital portfolio on so when you are visited by the judges, they can easily access it.

CAR GRAPHIC DESIGN DEVELOPMEMT
Different ideas presented and evaluated. Chosen design justified / explained
STEM
Evidence of math and / or science learning related to the project. Any of the following could be included: budgeting, science of motion, friction, aerodynamics, CAD/CAM, averages, speed, data graphs or any other STEM related learning
Sustainability
Evidence of sustainability initiatives to reduce/ offset the teams carbon footprint and ways of making a positive impact on the planet

- Don't leave it to the last minute
- Take care with the presentation of your digital portfolio. Making it easy and enjoyable to read will help the judges award you the marks you deserve
- Think about your team identity, how can you integrate this into the look of your digital portfolio?
- STEM is an important part of the digital portfolio. STEM stands for: Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Speak to teachers in your school who teach these subjects to help you develop your Formula Ethara STEM related learning
- Make sure your IT equipment is working before you go to the competition day and don't forget a charger!
