  • WHAT IS ETHARA GO FAST TRACK?

    Ethara Go is a free to enter STEM based competition which can be done at school or at home. It serves as an entry level version of our Formula Ethara program and is therefore a great starting point for those new to the program or for those wishing to extend their STEM learning outside of the classroom. The program is intended to be undertaken by individual participants rather than in teams however, some elements could be worked on collaboratively. 

    Participants will design and build their own mini race car using the car kit they received at one of our special events and complete a portfolio using the downloadable template. The portfolio takes participants through the design process of creating their own team identity, designing a uniform, undertaking car research, and designing and evaluating their car. There are also a wide range of extension tasks to take STEM learning to the next level. 

    The top entries will be invited to an in-person finals event at Yas Marina Circuit for a race-off to see whose car is the fastest and who will be crowned Ethara Go National Champion. 

    WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

    Anyone under the age of 13 can participate in Ethara Go. 

    HOW DO I REGISTER?

    WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ETHARA GO AND FORMULA ETHARA?

    • Ethara Go has less competition elements than Formula Ethara. 
    • The Ethara Go car cannot be raced, it is just a model.
    • Ethara Go participants must use the portfolio template. 
    • Ethara Go has no costs attached to it whereas there are costs to some elements of Formula Ethara.
    • Ethara Go runs for a limited period each year whereas Formula Ethara runs the full academic year.
    • Ethara go can only be undertaken by individuals, it is not a team-based program.

    WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ETHARA GO AND ETHARA GO FAST TRACK?

    Ethara Go Fast Track is only for those who have received an exclusive kit from us at one of our special events. Those who do not have a kit can download all of the car resources from our website for free and then later upgrade their car if they make it through to the finals. There is little difference between the 2 versions however fast track participants will not need to do the 'upgrade' step if they get chosen to compete at the finals event.
